Each and every week we scour news articles and Blue posts looking for this week’s Top 5 list! This week our Top 5 List comes from the <Insert Game Here> universe. We discovered a lot of salt pertaining to voice chat being added to Heroes of the Storm.
Top 5 Heroes of the Storm Voice Chat Salt
5.) I whole-kindheartedly believe with all my heart that voice chat is not required in this game.
4.) As long as it launches in the off postion and never asks me to turn it on, it is fine
3.) WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO HOTS? shorter game times, no voice chat
2.) if they weren’t going to listen either way, I’d rather not hear them talking crap all day as they throw the game
1.) *To hear #1, listen to this week’s episode!*
It wouldn’t be the Winter Olympics without a Canadian winning something, and this time it’s one for the record books! Before the Winter Olympics kicked off, Sasha “Scarlett” Hostyn took that top podium spot and made history by becoming the first woman to win a premier Starcraft II tournament after she defeated South Korea’s Kim “sOs” Yoo-jin! It’s a great day for StarCraft, but also a great day for esports in general! Check out all the action here!
Maiev Shadowsong was just released into the Nexus, and already she is getting hit with the Nerf Bat! After her release, Blizzard realized that she may have had a little too much assassination sprinkled into her toolkit, so they made some minor adjustments. But even with this small changes, the community still things she is too powerful. She is a warden after all, so it kinda makes sense right?
MOBAs like Heroes of the Storm, League of Legends and DOTA are known for their toxic communities. And previously, Blizzard introduced the mute penalty for repeat offenders, but now it appears that they will be adding Voice Chat to the Nexus. For some, this will make competitive play, or Hero league easier because you can have better and faster communication. But others are already worried about how toxic voice chat is going to become. Which camp do you find yourself?
With Update 10.2, Hearthstone is coming some MAJOR changes to their ranked play system. Basically, they are making it more streamlined and unified which will help players of all ranks. Starting with the March 2018 season, every rank will be 5 stars, and you will only be rolled back 4 ranks at the start of a new month. But, the best part is… the cardback quest will only be 5 wins in ranked play instead of being 15-25 wins! So much hype all around! Check out all the upcoming changes here!
Much dog. Great WOW. The 2018 Lunar Year event is here in Overwatch, and it’s the year of the dog! Besides awesome new Mercy, Genji, Zarya, Widowmaker skins and more, there is also competitive capture the flag, and a new capture the flag map! Check out everything that was added here!
Stage 1 of the Overwatch League has come to an end, and our boys in Green the Houston Outlaws made it to the finals! But unfortunately they lost to the London Spitfire. But they lost to the Champions! The London Spitfire comes from behind to beat the New York Excel taking home the $125,000 prize! All three times fought hard, and battled it out until the end, but in the end, only London had the stamina to last the whole day! Check out all the action and the standings here!
Not only did she hack BlizzCon 2016, she also hacked the live server patches and made some changes for herself… this past week, some Sombra changes snuck onto the Live Patch that were intended for the PTR. But was quickly corrected by Blizzard, but this mistake didn’t go unnoticed by the community!
This week we discussion the following topics about World of Warcraft:
Each week we pick a game from the endless library of the Blizzard Arcade to test them out and help the listeners find some awesome stupidly fun games.
Game: LoZ: Ocarina of Time v1.29 Type: Strategy Creator: Dimento Kilroy Review: “The build time for this map must have been crazy long as the developer put in a ton of detail in trying to make the game map look similar to the map of Hyrule in Zelda itself. Now here is where the games takes a side step away from the popular RPG game, the play style is more of a wave style game where you need to grow resources through attacking and playing the waiting game. Once you have an attacking force you need to use strategy to work to take over the map and in turn win the game. Unfortunately the AI function in this game is not present and they will not compete with you if you try to take over the map. Also you can automatically win the game by picking a friendly faction to the AI and the game will end with you as the winner in 80 seconds. For a multiplayer experience this game certainly packs a punch and is well thought out, we encourage you to get out and try this map and see how well you fair in taking over Hyrule.”
