Then we talk about the possiblity of two new heroes coming to Overwatch and then we have a quick discussion about a mini-map in Overwatch. Then we move onto our World of Warcraft discussion. This week we talk about the announcement of Warcraft Chronicles Volume 2, our weekly Warcraft Twitter poll, and then we discuss Artifact Power changes coming in Patch 7.2.
But no episode would be complete without discussing another Blizzard Arcade game. This week we discuss a four goal soccer game called The Lotus Temple. Then we dig deep inside our Icebox to discover another amazing listener submitted email which sparks a new weekly IceBox Twitter poll! But then it’s time to say our weekly goodbyes!

5.)No matter how long it takes, it still sucks getting a Sephuz
4.)That would explain how one dude in a single LFR wing received not 1 but 2 legendaries within 3 bosses.
3.)Yeah, still is a bad system when looting a legendary generally makes you feel disappointed.
2.)I’ve seen 2 legendary items drop across 3 110 characters I play daily since august the 2nd one being literally last week on my warrior so apparently I have the pooiests RNG in the universe.
1.) *To hear #1, listen to this week’s episode!*
It was announced this past week that after many years of support Blizzard will no longer be supporting the operating system Windows XP. For most of you that comes as no surprise, but there are plenty of people in the community that will be affected by these changes. But serveral years ago Microsoft themselves stopped offering support for Windows XP so it was only time before other major companies followed suit. If you want to read more about the removal of support, check out this article here.
We talked about it last week on the show but this week we actually played it! The For Azeroth event started on February 14 and runs until March 14. The way the event works is you receive one mount for World of Warcraft and one mount for Heroes of the Storm while playing Warcraft heroes with friends. This can be down in AI with AI teams so have no fear if you aren’t uberleet in the game or just want a chance to play the game with some new friends! With Heroes of the Storm being 100% free to play, you can download the game today and start your epic quest for two mounts! For more information about the event, check out all the details here!
First we just want to say how wrong we were with the Un’goro leak becoming an adventure in Hearthstone, because this past week it was announced that in the Year of the Mammoth there will be THREE full 130 card expansions coming. The release cycle is set for early 2017, mid-2017 and the end of 2017. But that’s not the only exciting thing thats changing in Hearthstone, they are making some major changes to a few neutral cards in the game and moving them to the Hall of the Fame and awarding players dust of each one of them that they had. This comes to a surprise for some players and created a lot of questions for other players. But the good news is this week the Hearthstone team will be sitting down and doing a Q&A for everyone on February 21 at 11 a.m. PST on Twitch! To find out more about the Year of the Mammoth, check out this article. To find out more about the upcoming Q&A, check out this article!
It seems like a week doesn’t go by without players within the Overwatch community putting on their tinfoil hats and digging deep into the dark corners of the internet to discover what’s possibly hidden in the unwritten things within the game. It all started with the Sombra ARG last summer, then shifted to Terry Cruz as Doomfist and now we have even ANOTHER possible new hero coming to Overwatch. And we figured since everyone else is allows to just make stuff up, we create a brand new hero live on the show this week! Do you think our new hero will be the next big thing in Overwatch? Listen to Episode 145 to find out! But if you want to see what everyone else is talking about, check out his video here!
But have no fear, we have an actual discussion about important things pertaining to Overwatch this week also. This past week Jeff Kaplan went to the Overwatch forums to put a stop to the “Overwatch Needs a Mini-map” discussion. He had this to say, “We deliberately avoided adding a minimap. In games like CoD, HotS and LoL the minimap becomes an absolutely crucial, strategic advantage for those who divide their time looking at it. We also wanted to reserve “enemy awareness” moments for certain hero abilities like Widowmaker’s ultimate or Hanzo’s Sonar Arrow. We do plan to add a spectator map for a better esports viewing experience. But philosophically we were opposed to adding a minimap to the HUD for gameplay reasons.” Basically he said, NOPE. /mic drop. If you want to read the rest of the forums responses to Jeff, you can check that out here.
This week we discussion the following topics about World of Warcraft:
1.) The World of Warcraft Chronicles Volume 2 has been announced! It will be available on March 17th. If you are interested in purchasing the book, considering using one of our links here!
2.) We talk about last week’s Twitter poll of:#Icebox poll: Should #Warcraft Mythic regular dungeons be added to the LFG system? It can be found here! 3.) Another Legion Q&A is upon us! On February 23rd Ion will be sitting down at 1:30PM PST to do another Live Q&A on Twitch.tv/Warcraft. Don’t miss it!
4.) Coming in Patch 7.2 there will be some Artifact Power changes coming to the game that has the community pretty upset! You can check out this discussion here.
It’s that time of the year again when we hear about what’s next for the Rock the Cabinet contest. This year brings a whole new concept by it being based around Co-op missions! Like previous years, creators will have the chance to walk away with $10,000 USD, tickets to a future BlizzCon, and a chance to sit down and have a developer jam session with Blizzard themselves! If you are a Blizzard Arcade creator, take the time to read over the full details of the contest, and we will see you inside the StarCrade!
Each week we pick a game from the endless library of the Blizzard Arcade to test them out and help the listeners find some awesome stupidly fun games.
Game: The Lotus Temple v 1.5 Type: Action Creator: Ajax Details: This game is kind of like zealot hockey or maybe zealot soccer, well it’s definitely a sport of some kind with zealots. So how does this game play well there are 4 goals and 4 team members and 4 elements and 1 ball. The object of the game is to use your elemental advantage to take out your enemies before they can score as well as control the ball and push it into one of the 4 goals. There are a few dependencies on using action buttons to play this game so it makes scoring a little tricky but totally satisfying when you nail it. This game is still in its beginning states so it doesn’t have AI but is totally an interesting first iteration and is worth getting 8 people to compete with/against you. We kind of enjoyed this quirky game.
