Special Announcement: This week on the show we replaced our Top 5 list to add something to the show that means way more important than anything else talked about on the show. This past week the Blizzard Community lost a very special member. For those that are familiar with our Media Network, D20Crit Alliance, one of the founding members of it has unexpectantly passed away. Tristan Derringher was more than just a podcaster, she was also a friend of the show. The community has created a GoFundMe account for her husband Wil, and two children she has left behind. Tristan will be greatly missed, as a friend, podcaster, and beyond. She has touched so many lives in our community and in the real world.
This past week, a rumor has surfaced around the Original StarCraft games. In an interview in Korean, it has been leaked that Blizzard may be republishing the Original game in a High Definition version in the coming months. There is nothing official about this, but it’s nothing new to the gaming world. In years past, Halo and Final Fantasy have all been re-released in new HD versions. You can read more about it here.
This week, we will be getting another Brawl with the Blues with the introduction of Auriel from Diablo! If you want to try to play in this or watch it, check out all the information here!
This past week, we also heard about another HotS team has been dropped out of the eSports world, recently the team of mYinsanity parted ways with its members after not yet qualifying for BlizzCon 2016. This is one of many teams who have left the Heroes scene in the last few months, is there something else going on that we are unaware of? Check out this article to see if you can find any clues!
With the announcement of the next Hearthstone adventure this past week called One Night in Karazhan, Blizzard has released the 45 new cards that are coming to the game. How will these new cards effect the current meta of the game? Since we aren’t deck builders, you may want to check out this article here to start planning out your next deck!
The Overwatch World Cup is on its way! In its early stages, it appears to be an All – Star game of sorts, where the community votes on their favorite and best Overwatch player from their regions. Once the players have been picked, the teams will be established, and the winners have a chance to possibly be on stage at BlizzCon this fall! You can read more about it here.
Just like with Ana, the community has been on a data mining exploration with a potential new hero named Sombra. But this time, the data mining may have gone a little too far…. Check it all out for yourself here!
The Olympics are happening right now in Rio, so why not have them also happen in Overwatch! New loot boxes, new skins, new intros and even a new brawl mode have been added to the game this past week. But most importantly, who’s played Lucioball?! Check everything you need to know about it here!
Each week we pick a game from the endless library of the Blizzard Arcade to test them out and help the listeners find some awesome stupidly fun games.
