Then we move onto our World of Warcraft discussion. This week we talk about the Mythic+ Dungeon Invitational, the AMA with Samwise, and our response to the communities rage about the Netherlight Crucible.

But before we go, we talk about another Blizzard Arcade game called Pac-Mancraft! And then we say our weekly goodbyes.

Here are a few ways you can do that!

Each and every week we scour news articles and Blue posts looking for this week’s Top 5 list! This week our Top 5 List comes from the World of Warcraft universe. We discovered a lot of salt pertaining to the recent Blue post talks about the Netherlight Crucible being added in Patch 7.3.

Top 5 Saltiest Netherlight Crucible comments.

5.) this isn’t the first time blizzard contradicted themselves. in-fact it’s probably the 1000th time.
4.) Ya the Crucible is a RNG NIGHTMARE! Reforging was great compared to this.
3.) netherlight is reforging made worse in ways i couldn’t even imagine
2.) Blizzard speaks out against something and then does exactly what it spoke out against? Color me shocked!
1.) *To hear #1, listen to this week’s episode!*

We talked about it last week on the show, but it has been officially announced! This year at the Pre-BlizzCon event Con Before the Storm, both nerdz will be part of panels at the World of Podcasts event! Kilroy will be representing the show by speaking at the Pre-BlizzCon Kickoff Panel, and Epicisanity will be the moderator for the World of Warcraft panel! The event takes place on Thursday, November 2nd at the Anaheim Hilton. For more information, check out the World of Podcasts page!

Normally when you think of StarCraft esports, you think of awesome head to head matches of Protoss verses Zerg, or insane APM from the pros, but in Turkmenistan they are changing the face of StarCraft esports! At the 5th Asian Indoor Games, the StarCraft pros will be sharing an arena alongside traditional indoor sports and martial arts such as Bowling, 3-on-3 Basketball, Taekwondo, and more. How cool is that?! This means that the gap between sports and esports are closing faster and faster! What a time to be a nerd?!

Heroes of the Storm News Banner

Last week on the show, we talked about Ana and Junkrat joining the cast of the heroes from Overwatch inside the Nexus! But this past week, the Ana spotlight was revealed and she is currently playable on the Heroes of the Storm PTR right now! And once players saw her Heroes toolkit, they started asking how much effect she will have on the current meta of the game. In a game where double support is a common occurrence, her healing/anti-healing grenade may destroy the meta faster than we even know. Is that what Blizzard wanted to happen? Is that why she was the next hero to enter the Nexus? Only time will tell. But you can check out her Hero Spotlight here!

Hearthstone is known for it’s single player game play, and when it comes to esports, you don’t often think of it as a team sport. But when the ESL announces the second season of the community favorite Trinity Tournament coming on September 27th, we are about to see the added twist to the game. The Trinity event is known for team based Hearthstone Tournaments where teams of 3 work together to beat their opponent. One person plays, but the other two are able to provide insight during the matches. All of this spawns conversations about 1v1v1 or even 3v3 Hearthstone brawls! Does this open up the possibilities for future events?!

Overwatch News Banner

This past week some PTR changes were snuck into the files that has the community a little upset (imagine that, the Overwatch community upset?!). The changes pertain to the use of “ultimate charge.” Previously if you died during the use of your ultimate, you wouldn’t be charged for it’s use. Now, if you die during it’s cast animation (i.e. Mei, Bastion, Hanzo, Genji, etc.) you could lose the full use of your ultimate ability. This doesn’t effect a lot of players, but those that feel like they are being cheated are upset. It comes down to having to better time the use of your ultimates to make sure you don’t die in the process of using it.

And we finally have a date for the start of the Overwatch League Season! Coming December 6th, players from the 12 teams from around the world will start competing in the pre-season matches at the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles, CA. And on January 10th, the season will officially start! But, since it’s been over a year since the announcement, and it seems to be slow moving, is it a little too late when it comes to the hype behind the Overwatch League? We have a great discussion about it on this weeks show, so give it a listen to hear it all!

World of Warcraft News Banner

This week we discussion the following topics about World of Warcraft:

1.) The Mythic Dungeon Invitational
2.)  Shadows of Argus Art Contest
3.) Samwise Reddit AMA
4.) Netherlight Crucible

Each week we pick a game from the endless library of the Blizzard Arcade to test them out and help the listeners find some awesome stupidly fun games.

Game: Pac-Mancraft (Beta) v1.7
Type: Puzzle
Creator: BlueCricket
Kilroy’s Review: “Like its name this game is pacman!  Sure there aren’t ghosts instead it’s zerg and  you are going head to head against friends running a gauntlet and using abilities to corral zerg or kill them or move them away from you and after your opponent. THIS GAME IS ROACH SNAKE FUN!.  but there is no AI opponents and that means that you gotta find others to place otherwise it’s still pacman which can be played by itself. Gotta try this game the developer for it has really done a great job.”
