Here are a few ways you can do that!

Each and every week we scour news articles and Blue posts looking for this week’s Top 5 list! This week our Top 5 List comes from the <Insert Game Here> universe. We discovered a lot of salt pertaining to voice chat being added to Heroes of the Storm.

Top 5 Heroes of the Storm Voice Chat Salt

5.) I whole-kindheartedly believe with all my heart that voice chat is not required in this game.
4.) As long as it launches in the off postion and never asks me to turn it on, it is fine
3.) WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO HOTS? shorter game times, no voice chat
2.) if they weren’t going to listen either way, I’d rather not hear them talking crap all day as they throw the game
1.) *To hear #1, listen to this week’s episode!*

It wouldn’t be the Winter Olympics without a Canadian winning something, and this time it’s one for the record books! Before the Winter Olympics kicked off, Sasha “Scarlett” Hostyn took that top podium spot and made history by becoming the first woman to win a premier Starcraft II tournament after she defeated South Korea’s Kim “sOs” Yoo-jin! It’s a great day for StarCraft, but also a great day for esports in general! Check out all the action here!

Heroes of the Storm News Banner

Maiev Shadowsong was just released into the Nexus, and already she is getting hit with the Nerf Bat! After her release, Blizzard realized that she may have had a little too much assassination sprinkled into her toolkit, so they made some minor adjustments. But even with this small changes, the community still things she is too powerful. She is a warden after all, so it kinda makes sense right?

MOBAs like Heroes of the Storm, League of Legends and DOTA are known for their toxic communities. And previously, Blizzard introduced the mute penalty for repeat offenders, but now it appears that they will be adding Voice Chat to the Nexus. For some, this will make competitive play, or Hero league easier because you can have better and faster communication. But others are already worried about how toxic voice chat is going to become. Which camp do you find yourself?

With Update 10.2, Hearthstone is coming some MAJOR changes to their ranked play system. Basically, they are making it more streamlined and unified which will help players of all ranks. Starting with the March 2018 season, every rank will be 5 stars, and you will only be rolled back 4 ranks at the start of a new month. But, the best part is… the cardback quest will only be 5 wins in ranked play instead of being 15-25 wins! So much hype all around! Check out all the upcoming changes here!

Overwatch News Banner

Much dog. Great WOW. The 2018 Lunar Year event is here in Overwatch, and it’s the year of the dog! Besides awesome new Mercy, Genji, Zarya, Widowmaker skins and more, there is also competitive capture the flag, and a new capture the flag map! Check out everything that was added here!

Stage 1 of the Overwatch League has come to an end, and our boys in Green the Houston Outlaws made it to the finals! But unfortunately they lost to the London Spitfire. But they lost to the Champions! The London Spitfire comes from behind to beat the New York Excel taking home the $125,000 prize! All three times fought hard, and battled it out until the end, but in the end, only London had the stamina to last the whole day! Check out all the action and the standings here!

Not only did she hack BlizzCon 2016, she also hacked the live server patches and made some changes for herself… this past week, some Sombra changes snuck onto the Live Patch that were intended for the PTR. But was quickly corrected by Blizzard, but this mistake didn’t go unnoticed by the community!

World of Warcraft News Banner

This week we discussion the following topics about World of Warcraft:

1.) The Battle for Azeroth Alpha is live.
2.) Battle for Azeroth changes coming to Attack Power.
3.) Battle for Azeroth class changes.

Each week we pick a game from the endless library of the Blizzard Arcade to test them out and help the listeners find some awesome stupidly fun games.

Game: LoZ: Ocarina of Time v1.29
Type: Strategy
Creator:  Dimento
Kilroy Review: “The build time for this map must have been crazy long as the developer put in a ton of detail in trying to make the game map look similar to the map of Hyrule in Zelda itself.  Now here is where the games takes a side step away from the popular RPG game,  the play style is more of a wave style game where you need to grow resources through attacking and playing the waiting game.  Once you have an attacking force you need to use strategy to work to take over the map and in turn win the game.  Unfortunately the AI function in this game is not present and they will not compete with you if you try to take over the map.  Also you can automatically win the game by picking a friendly faction to the AI and the game will end with you as the winner in 80 seconds.  For a multiplayer experience this game certainly packs a punch and is well thought out, we encourage you to get out and try this map and see how well you fair in taking over Hyrule.”

Top 5 Battle for Azeroth Pre-Order Salt

5.)  So even if you don’t want to buy , you still cant log on and play your toons seriously ? When I log on my toons are all gone WTH?
4.) They should change the title of this to “Pre-purchase Battle for Azeroth now! Or in a few days when our systems function correctly!”
3.) Of course the Allied races would be gated behind achievement grinds. Blizzard, I love World of Warcraft and have played since 2005. But back then grinding was possible because all I had to do was get up, go to school, come home and play.
2.) Hey, any chance I can pre-purchase BEING ABLE TO LOG INTO THE GAME?
1.) *To hear #1, listen to this week’s episode!*

Just when you think they can’t surprise us anymore, the StarCraft team announces a upcoming StarCraft comic coming from Dark Horse Comics. StarCraft: Scavengers will be following a team of engineers as they pillage a derelict Protoss ship above an uninhabited planet. The four-issue miniseries will be available soon for pre-orders, and will be releasing in July 2018. Find out more about it here!

And apparently there was some drama over Dva’s pro gamer status within the Overwatch universe. Check out the Drama Alert here!

The Hearthstone team decided it was time to turn it up to eleven inside the Tavern! They are now giving away a grand prize of 3000 card packs to one lucky winner, as well as a Lich King helm! But theres more than just one prize, they are giving away 30 card packs to over 1,000 players, and another 9 card packs to another 50,000 players! The Mercy nerfs are upon us! HOLD ONTO YOUR BUTTS! Not only did they once again change her resurrection, but they also made it so that if you do resurrection someone, you instantly die. And respawn as Reinhardt. Okay, that’s not what actually happens, but it feels like it! And they also changed Junkrat, but it doesn’t really make a major impact to those who play at a higher level than Epic! Find out more about the communities reaction here!

The Overwatch Year of the Dog event is coming on February 8th! In typical Overwatch fashion, we know nothing about the even besides the start date! Find out that and more here!

The Overwatch League Stage 1 is coming to an end this week with the title matches taking place on Saturday evening. Who will take home the first every championship: London Spitfire, New York Excel, or our favorite team the Houston Outlaws! Find out more about the rankings here!

2.) The First ever Battle for Azeroth Developer Q&A has taken place. Heres the recap!

Game: The Pirate Wars v0.10
Type:  Other
Creator: SpctrLament
Kilroy’s Review: “This is an island hopping game of Piracy and conquest,  Take out your opponents by growing your economy from taking over islands and developing the ultimate pirate fleet of all time.  Overall this is one of those games that has a lot of time placed into it and development is exceptional.  The Ai in the game works kinda however mostly in dealing with avoiding the navy to keep your pirate ambitions afloat.  A solid and well thought out addition to the Starcade and a worthwhile game to play.”

Episode 189 – “Recognized and Respected”

Welcome to the Frozen Nerdz Podcast Episode 189 called “Recognized and Respected.” We are your Blizzard Entertainment discussion podcast. The show you are about to hear was recorded on Sunday, January 14th, 2018.

On this week’s show, we slowly go over our past week in video games before we move onto weekly Top 5 saltiest list from the Overwatch League Launch. Then we move onto our Blizzard Entertainment discussion where we talk about mistakes were made in the StarCraft WCS brackets, Developers and Pros discuss the upcoming Heroes of the Storm 2018 changes, Ben Brodes from the Hearthstone team hints at upcoming balance changes, the Darkening of Tristram event returns to Diablo, Overwatch League kicks off this past week, Korean Pros still dominating the scene, our thoughts on female representation in the Overwatch Pro scene. Then we move onto our World of Warcraft discussion. This week we talk about when Patch 7.3.5 will be released, insane boss soloing, and then we talk about changes coming to WOW esports.

But no episode would be complete without us talking about a Blizzard Arcade game and this week we are talking about one called Warships.TEST! And then before you know it, it’s time for us to say our weekly goodbyes.

Here are a few ways you can do that!

Each and every week we scour news articles and Blue posts looking for this week’s Top 5 list! This week our Top 5 List comes from the Overwatch League universe. We discovered a lot of salt pertaining to

Top 5 Saltiest Overwatch League Complainers

5.) I am pretty sure a lot of people agree with me that the league is to repetitive and not that fun to watch.
4.) OWL is a joke, and you’re all the punchline
3.) The competitive scene did not develop on its own, it was forced into existence with money.
2.) OWL was clearly a ponzi scheme to suck in investor capital and adclick money as rapidly as possible
1.) *To hear #1, listen to this week’s episode!*

With the kick off of the 2018 StarCraft WCS series, fans and players were excited to see the hot action again and hoping to see some amazing games. But little did they know, that there was a mistake in the seeding of the brackets, and some of those matches they watched will not count. And will have to be replayed. And this leaves some players in the balance since they already qualified, but may not after their matches are replayed. How something like this happened is beyond us, but it still happened.

Heroes of the Storm News Banner

With Blaze hitting the Nexus over the past week, all sights are now set on what’s next inside the Nexus. And with the HGC kicking off this past weekend, players are excited for the new season. But where are the changes that were talked about at BlizzCon 2017? Glad you asked. Those changes are coming to Heroes of the Storm here shortly and were just recently talked about by developers and Heroes Pro’s alike. From the upcoming stealth changes, camera changes, or the changes being made to forts and keeps, there are a lot of things coming to the Nexus. Curious what the Pro Players had to say about it? Check it out here!

Well, Heroes of the Storm isn’t the only game with changes coming. This past week, Ben Brode commented about the possibility of changes coming for Kobolds & Catacombs. These changes are mainly focused around the Corridor Creeper card that reduces the mana cost of the card by one every time a minion dies. Does a card like that need to exist in the game? And if so, what changes can be made to make it more balanced?

It’s been very quiet on the Diablo front of the past few weeks, but it appears that we have some demons stirring in Sanctuary. The Diablo Anniversary event Darkening of Tristram is back in full effect for the month of January. If you missed out on this event last year, now is the time to get in there and check it out!

Overwatch News Banner

The Overwatch League kicked off in full effect last week! It appeared to peak at around 450k people watching and kept about 250k people watching over the cross of the week and weekend action. There were a lot of awesome plays and some major upsets! The action was there and it shows that the Overwatch League is here to stay! How did your team do? Check out the standings here.

The Overwatch League has given everyone 100 league tokens to purchase one free skins of the 312 overall skins, but if you want your chance at a second one…. sign up for their newsletter!

With the South Korean team winning the previous Overwatch World Cup, it was no surprise that the Korean players that joined different Overwatch League teams would be making waves within the scene already. But they are. From Pines confidence on Control Maps to Fleta with his insane Widow shots. They just can’t be stopped. It’s awesome to see how well players can be when they have a country that supports esports so strongly!

There was a lot of buzz around the Twitter universe and the rest of the world talking about the lack of female representation in the Overwatch League as Pro players and Commentators. With Overwatch being a game that prides itself on diversity, it seemed to lack it during the start of the season. Now we aren’t experts, but we believe there needs to be a major change in the way the community views women gamers. They need to be recognized and respected. click here to learn more! And there are plenty of professional female gamers out there,

World of Warcraft News Banner

This week we discussion the following topics about World of Warcraft:

1.) When will Patch 7.3.5 launch? January 16th, 2018! Patch notes here.
2.) Insane Solo Play!
3.) The 2018 Changes coming to World of Warcraft esports.

Each week we pick a game from the endless library of the Blizzard Arcade to test them out and help the listeners find some awesome stupidly fun games.

Game: Warships.TEST v1.2
Type: Hero Battle
Creator: Nembrot
Kilroy Review: “This week’s game was a great jump back into the arcade style games we know and love!  You get to command a battle platform in space built with your own designed custom defenses to engage in air to air combat while trying to take out your opponents starbases.  Sound cool so far? Well this is a 3v3 matchup arena and inside it has a built in leveling and skill system different size platforms with different abilities and very unique battle system.  All in all this game is one we think everyone should be getting down with and really having a blast. Despite not having AI this game has claimed a top spot in our hearts for being unique and fun in a way most other Starcade games aren’t. “

Each and every week we scour news articles and Blue posts looking for this week’s Top 5 list! This week our Top 5 List comes from the World of Warcraft universe. We discovered a lot of salt pertaining to the recent announcements of the upcoming Allied Race racials that showed up on the Patch 7.3.5 PTR.

Top 5 Saltiest 7.3.5 Allied Races Complaints

5.) Don’t nerf the new allied racial abilities…but current races could use a buff. Otherwise no one will play the old races…
4.) lets add more to the already op racials that void elfs have. how about no.
3.) what exactly is Void Storage good for now that Appearances are account-wide?
2.) Every other racial in the game offers some throughput benefit to every role in the game. Except this one.
1.) *To hear #1, listen to this week’s episode!*

This week was a pretty light week for StarCraft news as we wait for the arrival of the next esports season. But this week, we bring up the question of…. StarCraft: What’s next? We talk about expansions, StarCraft III and the possibility of a Mobile RTS Game. But what do you think will be next in the chronicles of StarCraft?

Heroes of the Storm News Banner

As games get longer in the teeth, they have to make changes to make things different, hence the creation of patch content. But some times you have to think outside the patch and you have to make changes to things like… the way heroes appear when they are in stealth. From the previous shimmer of light to a outlined stealth, there is some major changes coming to Heroes of the Storm.

Also in the Nexus, they are looking into why double support has become such a thing in competitive play and esports. Blizzard is taking a look at what is going on, and they are working on getting it balanced and figured out. But with the changes being made, will it have major issues on people who are one role players, or those that main support?

It was announced this past week that not only will we be getting three expansions in 2018 for Hearthstone, we are also getting Kobolds and Catacombs this Thursday. They revealed all the remaining cards, and it’s hyped that there are more coming for Hearthstone and that things are planned out. To find out more about the expansion, check out this article!

Have you ever wanted a personal mount of Azmodan before? If you have a 3D printer, now is your chance! A Diablo Fan created the blueprints so you are able to 3D print your own statue! Check out the images here!

Overwatch News Banner

Have you ever wondered how to become a Overwatch Pro, or how to become part of the Overwatch League? Blizzard has released what it takes to become a Contender! For all the details check out this article!

Last week, we talked about ranking the Overwatch League teams based on their logos, merch and more. This week, we found an article that someone ranked all the heroes in Overwatch based on their…. opinion. We may get a little harsh on this topic on the show this week, but it needed to be address. Check out the episode to find out more!

The only take away we can get from the last article is that no one seems to enjoy Doomfist, but Blizzard has heard the complaints and they are looking into it. But what changes can be made to fix his current state in the game?

World of Warcraft News Banner

This week we discussion the following topics about World of Warcraft:

1.) Antorus Raid: It’s live, and what are our thoughts so far
2.) 7.3.5 Hits the PTR, with a ton of details!
3.) New Warcraft Zone Scaling!

Each week we pick a game from the endless library of the Blizzard Arcade to test them out and help the listeners find some awesome stupidly fun games.

Kilroy’s Review: “It felt good to play this map this week,  as it was a complete 180 from the previous weeks.  The developer of this game did a great job of creating a challenging and fun gameplay environment.  You start this map off with a central base and it’s up to you to build your economy up by killing zerg waves and expanding outward fast to clear objectives.  If you don’t clear the objectives fast then the game increases in difficulty very quickly making it a real challenge and totally fun to play.  The tuning up of the AI opponent as well as the objective style gameplay really brought it home for us this week and that is reflected in its ratings.”

Episode 184 – “First Date Questions”

Welcome to the Frozen Nerdz Podcast Episode 184 called “First Date Questions.” We are your Blizzard Entertainment discussion podcast. The show you are about to hear was recorded on Sunday, November 26th, 2017.

On this week’s show, we quickly go over our past week in video games before we move onto weekly Top 5 saltiest list from the Overwatch universe. Then we jump into our Blizzard Entertainment discussion where we start off by talking about StarCraft Deepmind, and then we move onto discussing Heroes of the Storm in a positive light before we move onto talking about Hearthstone Lore. Then we move onto talking about Overwatch active users, the Overwatch League branding, and a sit down interview with Michael Chu talking about Moira then we move onto talking about World of Warcraft. This week we talk about the breakdown of Legion heading into Battle for Azeroth, and then we talk about what’s leading into the launch of Antorus the Burning Throne raid that launches this week.

But no episode would be complete without us talking about another Blizzard Arcade game and this week we talk about one called Bug Wars! And then before you know it, it’s time for us to say our weekly goodbyes.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns for the show, feel free to contact us via email at IceBox@FrozeNerdz.com. But without further ado, sit back relax and enjoy Episode 184 of the Frozen Nerdz Podcast!

Each and every week we scour news articles and Blue posts looking for this week’s Top 5 list! This week our Top 5 List comes from the Overwatch universe. We discovered a lot of salt pertaining to the current state of Competitive play!

Top 5 Saltiest OW Comp complaints

5.)Very nice work on report and ban system guys, well done. Guys who troll or throw need hundreds of reports to actually get banned, and the ban will last for a few days. Very comforting. Resolved the issue 100%.
4.) I lost 500 sr last week. Games are full of throwers and trolls, every single game there´s a troll, a thrower.
3.) I honestly think the sr system should be reworked
2.) This game provides a terrible competitive experience.
1.) *To hear #1, listen to this week’s episode!*

We can’t stop talking about it, and won’t until we finally see it in action! But there is another awesome article talking about StarCraft Deepmind and how Google hired a previous StarCraft pro player in order to help with it’s advancements. Hopefully this gets us one step closer to seeing the ultimate show down between StarCraft Pro and ….the computers! Check out the whole article here!

Heroes of the Storm News Banner

Last week we talked about how Blizzard is just going to keep making the Heroes of the Storm for THEIR community and aren’t looking to overthrow or become the King of the MOBA genre. But htis week, we found an article talking about how Heroes stands apart from games like League of Legends. Kilroy has played LOL before, so he weighs in with his thoughts on the topic. Find out more about the article we are referencing here.

With Kobolds and Catacombs on the horizon, Blizzard is releasing a 3 Part Lore series called Tale of the Fox which is giving us the background of Marin the Fox and the upcoming cards that will be being released. On this week’s show, we discuss the concept of Lore behind the card and the game. Check out part 1 and part 2 here.

Overwatch News Banner

With one time purchase games, and mobile games, we are always talking about Daily Active Users. For a game like Overwatch, you don’t normally think looking at the amount of time people spend playing Overwatch. But it was recently announced that on average Overwatch players are playing about 2 hours of Overwatch per day. That’s at least 14 hrs of Overwatch a week. Are you above or below average?

When it comes to branding, one thing is important… how to talk about the branding on your first date… or maybe not. But recently on ESPN esports, they talked about the new branding of the Overwatch League teams. If you are interested in branding and marketing, or need something to talk about on your next date, check out this article!

Also this past week, for those people who weren’t at BlizzCon, or didn’t watch the BlizzCon virtual ticket, Michael Chu sat down to talk about Moira and Blizzard World. It’s definitely an article you will want to check out!

World of Warcraft News Banner

This week we discussion the following topics about World of Warcraft:

1.) Legion heading to Battle for Azeroth
2.) Antorus Raid starts this week, here’s some important information:

Wowhead.com Guides / MMO-Champion Minimalist Guide MS / MMO-Champion Dungeon Journal

Each week we pick a game from the endless library of the Blizzard Arcade to test them out and help the listeners find some awesome stupidly fun games.

Game: Bug Wars
Type: Survival
Creator: TheChosenOne
Kilroy’s Review: “Well this one was kind of interesting at first,  you are given a queen to start growing your economy and making tons of drones.  And then you make more drones.  But wait,  just when you thought you had made enough drones, you have to make more drones.  There wasn’t a clear motive to this game and we’re not sure that there really is an obtainable win condition given that you are secluded in your own corner of the map surrounded by walls you can’t go through and you can’t create any attack minions at all.  This one looked good at first but not sure it’s playable without other people. Unfortunately wasn’t able to give this one high marks.”

Episode 183 – “Chumbawamba Sammiches”

Welcome to the Frozen Nerdz Podcast Episode 183 called “Chumbawamba Sammiches.” We are your Blizzard Entertainment discussion podcast. The show you are about to hear was recorded on Sunday, November 19th, 2017.

On this week’s show, we quickly go over our past week in video games before we move onto weekly Top 5 saltiest list from the World of Warcraft universe. Then we jump into our Blizzard Entertainment discussion where we talk about subtweeting from the StarCraft team, Heroes of the Storm is just going to keep making their game, Hearthstone announces its announcement stream, should Diablo 3 go Free to Play?, Moria hits live servers, and an Overwatch Pro gets a 72 hour ban then we move onto talking about World of Warcraft. This week we talk about the Battle for Azeroth launch, World of Warcraft turns 13, and then we recap the important information from this past week’s Developer Q&A.

But no episode would be complete without us talking about another Blizzard Arcade game and this week we talk about one called _DO-OM_! And then before you know it, it’s time for us to say our weekly goodbyes.

Each and every week we scour news articles and Blue posts looking for this week’s Top 5 list! This week our Top 5 List comes from the World of Warcraft universe. We discovered a lot of salt pertaining to the upcoming changes being made to Tier Sets.

Top 5 Saltiest No Tier in Battle For Azeroth Comments

5.)  this change seems designed to blow up all incentive to raid entirely.
4.) Maybe if we could return to the days in which we didn’t have four raid difficulties, it wouldn’t be so bad…
3.)This is Blizzard. They’re incredibly lazy recently and I would bet all of the gold I have on all of my toons that we will get just 1 Cloth/Leather/Mail/Plate set per tier.
2.)  Adding something that nobody asked for is a bad reason to remove something nobody asked to be removed.  This game has 100 problems and tier has to be near the bottom.
1.) *To hear #1, listen to this week’s episode!*

This past week, it appeared that the StarCraft team may have been casting a little shade and did some possible subtweeting about the fact that StarCraft 2 is going free to play. Some found it hilarious, others were offended. So just another day on the internet. Check out this article and the hilarious commercial today!

Heroes of the Storm News Banner

When a game is created, it’s normal for them to try to become the best within the current genre. And with Heroes of the Storm, that story seems no different… until they talk about the game themselves with the MOBA genre. Blizzard sits down with Polygon to talk about how they are making the best game for their community and they are happy with it’s overall performance within the genre. It’s definitely an article worth checking out!

In typical Hearthstone fashion, they made an announcement to reveal their announcement for the upcoming cards for Kobolds and Catacombs. They revealed a lot of new cards, and will be revealing more in the near future. Stay in the loop by checking on the official Blizzard announcement page here!

On this week’s show, we talk about if Diablo III should consider going free to play in a similar fashion of StarCraft II has gone? Listen to the show to find out our thoughts!

Overwatch News Banner

We’ve talked about it before and we can pretty much guarantee that we will be talking about it again. Toxicity in Overwatch. But it took a different approach this week when a Overwatch League Pro was given a 72 hour ban for “falsely reporting.” While on stream, he reacted very emotionally and unprofessionally. He later released an unapologetic response on Twitter. OWL Pro Félix “xQc” Lengyel, who represents the Dallas Fuel, can be seen here getting his ban. And then you can see him here reporting players for “being pieces of poo*.”

World of Warcraft News Banner

This week we discussion the following topics about World of Warcraft:

1.) Battle for Azeroth Launch Predictions.
2.) The World of Warcraft 13th Birthday Celebration!
3.) Legion Developer Q&A Recap

Each week we pick a game from the endless library of the Blizzard Arcade to test them out and help the listeners find some awesome stupidly fun games.

Game: _DO-OM_ v0.2
Type: Other
Creator: Hnry
Kilroy’s Review: “The details for this game are simply put “Chumbawamba sammich” and even that would seem to make more sense than this game did,  overall this is one of those games where the developer may have just been trying to make it as strange as possible and succeeding on all counts.  Not even sure we were able to figure out the win condition for this game or what the objective was but that’s completely OK since we were too busy trying to figure out what was going on at all.  So far may be the worst showing for us but hey they can’t all be winners.”

Welcome to the Frozen Nerdz Podcast Episode 182 called “Responses to BlizzCon 2017.” We are your Blizzard Entertainment discussion podcast. The show you are about to hear was recorded on Sunday, November 12th, 2017.

On this week’s show, we slowly go over our past week in video games and at BlizzCon before we move onto weekly Top 5 list of the week talking our favorite moments from BlizzCon 2017. This week for World of Warcraft we talk about Warcraft Classic, the announcement and reveal of Battle for Azeroth and more.

Each and every week we scour news articles and Blue posts looking for this week’s Top 5 list! This week our Top 5 List comes from the our experiences at BlizzCon 2017.

5.) Opening Ceremonies
4.) Con Before the Storm
3.) Discord Party
2.) Spaghetti Sandwiches

If you haven’t already caught everything that happened at BlizzCon 2017, the best way to get your hands and eyes on all the content is by getting yourself the virtual ticket! Buy one here today!

It wasn’t a large announcement year for StarCraft, but they did announce that there will be a group commander coming in the form of Han and Horner, and that StarCraft II will be coming free to play. Now, the game won’t be 100% free, but the basics of the game will be available for free while other content will still have to be unlocked through progression and purchases. You can find out everything coming for StarCraft here in the official press release.

Heroes of the Storm News Banner

CALLED IT! We talked about it before on the show that it would be awesome to see Hanzo and Alexstrasza both enter the Nexus. Well, at the BlizzCon 2017 opening ceremonies Blizzard answered the call and revealed an awesome new cinematic trailer to show off both heroes coming to Heroes of the Storm. Check out the video here, and the press release here.

And just when we were feeling awesome by guessing one thing that Blizzard was going to announce, we got knocked off our high horse quickly when they announced what was going to be next for Hearthstone. We were hoping for a Booty Bay related expansion, but instead we got blind sided Kobolds & Catacombs! From a new single player dungeon style campaign to insane new cards. Check out all the current information about this upcoming expansion here.

As promised, there were no major announcements from the Diablo universe at BlizzCon even though some of us stayed hopeful of a wild surprise. But during one of their community panels, they did drop some major hints about something coming in the near future. They just weren’t ready to show it off just yet. Check out that panel here (requires the virtual ticket)!

Overwatch News Banner

Just went we thought we knew how Blizzard’s mind works, they hit us with a massive curveball that knocks us all completely off course. From the original announcement of Overwatch, the question about Blizzneyland was asked, and the response was… maybe. Well, Blizzard has gone straight meta and they added BlizzardWorld into a Blizzard game about Blizzard games?! What?! Does your head hurt yet. Well, prepare your bodies for this awesome ride of adventure that is a Blizzard inspired theme park map coming to Overwatch!  You can check it out here.

But thankfully, that wasn’t the only thing Blizzard had up their sleeves. They also revealed the next support hero joining the roster of oddies in Overwatch: Moria. It’s spelled OPAF. She’s a mashup healer that has a weapon like Mei, an orb like Symmetra, and a beam of death like no other. Check out her video here.

We forgot to talk about it on the show, or we just repressed the emotional trauma from the annoucnement, but there was a Reinhardt short that was announced by Darin De Paul who is the voice actor for Reinhardt! Check out the animated short here.

World of Warcraft News Banner

This week we discussion the following topics about World of Warcraft:

1.) Warcraft Classic Announced.
2.) World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth announced
3.) Battle for Azeroth Break Down.

Each week we pick a game from the endless library of the Blizzard Arcade to test them out and help the listeners find some awesome stupidly fun games.

Game: The Mist – Paradise Beach
Type: Hero Battle
Creator: SoulScream
Kilroy’s Review: “This game is all about outlasting your opponents and strategizing the best way to survive the many waves that will be coming inbound to destroy your core.  Keep yourself alive and your core alive longer than your opponents and you win.  This is a fun concept for a game and has a lot of depth to it the AI in the map modes is challenging and the hero designs are clever and fresh.  There could certainly have been more instructions on how to prepare yourself for the fights but once you figure this out the game takes off in a whirlwind of fun and challenges.  Playable by yourself or against other players however AI players won’t take you on so you will need to bring your friends to truly appreciate this game.”

Top 5 Best World of Warcraft Expansion Names

5.) World of Warcraft: Rise of the Lich Queen
4.) World of Warcraft: Wave Race
3.) World of Warcraft: Waterworld
2.) World of Warcraft: The Dark Below
1.) *To hear #1, listen to this week’s episode!*

It was brought to our attention that a university in Korea will be hosting a human verses AI in a StarCraft match this week! It’s exciting to hear that advances are being made in the area of StarCraft AI! Check out the press release here.

Heroes of the Storm News Banner

With the 2017 HGC finishes at BlizzCon, talks about the improvement coming to Heroes of the Storm esports are already upon us. Blizzard is looking into making improvements to the viewing experience, changes to the league structure, and more stringent rules on team ownership. But the question we have is… is it a little late for these requirements and changes? Want to hear our discussion… check out the show!

Once again, it appears that the Hearthstone team couldn’t hold onto the information any longer so they just had to let us know that the Golden Legendary card that all BlizzCon attendees and virtual ticket holders will receive is Marin the Fox! He just so happens to be a pirate!!! This just plays more into the fact that we will probably be seeing a Booty Bay or Pirate expansion announced at BlizzCon this week!

Overwatch News Banner

This week with the Overwatch World Cup finals on the Horizon, it was announced that there will be some major changes being made to how Overwatch esports works. Teams will have colored jerseys that represent the teams in the game (i.e Red team = red on the screen) and there will be improvements made to the map system. All of these changes will help advance Overwatch into the esport event it should have always been!

Game: Reinforcements Delay 5
Type: Survival

Kilroys Review:  “This is an interesting survival game,  it is a continuation of a series of these games and is very well put together.  You first load in as an evil person who has to taint several Terran towns and then use the converted minions you acquire during setup phase to assault a Terran outpost that is set and bent on destroying you.  Operate as efficiently as you can and prepare for multiple waves of Terrans while you protect your leader to amass strength and take out the outpost.  Very well put together game with cutscenes and story, very worthwhile.”

Each and every week we scour news articles and Blue posts looking for this week’s Top 5 list! This week our Top 5 List comes from the Warcraft universe. We discovered a lot of salt pertaining to recent changes to the Warcraft.exe.

Top 5 Saltiest “Modders”

5.) It’s not hurting anyone. It’s not a big deal, it never was. Blizzard has known about them for years. They have been around since vanilla days. It’s okay, really. Just calm down.
4.) It’s literally harmless and blizzard has been okay with it for some time. The only reason it is ruined now is because of what they did to remove botters.
3.) I just want my mods back.
2.) Please, please revert those exe changes, please. Give us our mods back. WoW just hasn’t been the same..
1.) *To hear #1, listen to this week’s episode!*

It’s finally here! They have released the BlizzCon 2017 floor plan. Besides Diablo bathrooms, and a Slyvannas statue, there’s not too much out of the ordinary from previous years. Check out the floor plan here.

More videos were added to the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket. If you haven’t watched the free videos, check them out. If you want MORE awesome behind the scenes videos from inside Blizzard, consider getting the virtual ticket!

And if you get the virtual ticket, you also get a ton of awesome in-game digital goodies! Check them out here!

And for those people attending BlizzCon, or virtual ticket holders, you get early access to the Pre-BlizzCon merch sale on the Blizzard Gear store! They have awesome new merch like Mei Yeti Slippers, and you can get you very own… MEI SNOWBALL!!!! OMG!!!! Check it out here.

Recently, there was a StarCraft AI tournament that a lot of large companies participated in. One of the major new comers to the scene was Facebook CherryPi. Out of 28 contestants, Facebook paced sixth overall. In a world that is constantly changing, it’s awesome to see larger companies focusing on the improvement of AI technology. To find out more about this event, check out this article!

We are excited for some major UI changes coming to StarCraft and the Blizzard Arcade! The changes will make it easier to navigate the Blizzard Arcade, and help speed up the process of getting into new and exciting custom games!

Heroes of the Storm News Banner

Just like previous seasons, and other esports, it was announced that Junkrat will not be playable at the Heroes Grand Championship (HGC) at BlizzCon. This means that even though recent updates to heroes like Zul’jin, Nazeebo, and Muradin will still be active, but Junkrat will not be playable.

It was announced this past week, that you are able to gain the latest Hearthstone Warlock hero by participating in a Fireside Brawl. So if you want to get Nemsy Necrofizzle, check out these Fireside Gatherings .

Overwatch News Banner

Rumors are once again brewing in the “Unannounced Project” hiring scene again, and this time Overwatch is included in the rumors. They are hiring an intern with experience in Overwatch. Does that mean something new is coming from the IP, or a new branch of Blizzard IPs coming?! The world may never know!

There is a new Overwatch Clone on the mobile market, and they are getting hit with a lawsuit by Blizzard. If you want to find out more about it, check it out here. Or you can watch some of the footage here. We are not going to name it here.

World of Warcraft News Banner

This week we discussion the following topics about World of Warcraft:

1.) Looking for something new to do in Warcraft? Have you tried soloing Normal Gul’dan? Mionee has! Check it out here.
2.) Blizzard hits botters with another ban wave.
3.) Warcraft.exe changes break the naked mods!

Each week we pick a game from the endless library of the Blizzard Arcade to test them out and help the listeners find some awesome stupidly fun games.

Game: Battle For The Living v3.32
Type: Hero Battle
Creator: starkiller
Kilroy’s Review: “You start out this game on a split map where you have units sitting on top of a ridge.  There are not many instructions on how to go about playing this map,  you are left with some serious figuring out to do.  Along with that there is no AI built into this map and it really doesn’t have that great of gameplay.  Safe to say these nerdz  Hated it.”
